3D model description

The 1995 Hess Truck helicopter survived many years; but now my children have destroyed the landing gear and battery cover. After many times epoxying it back together it has met its match. This 3d printed part isn't the exact same but it is designed to more durable while still fitting both the helicopter and truck.

There are two versions of the landing gear:
VERSION 1:
Title: HessLandingGear (no runners)
* This version prints with just landing circles. They fit within the truck and hold it in place.
* This is more durable since there are no runners to break.
* Print; remove the support; add to helicopter

VERSION 2:
3 Parts:
* "HessLandingGear (runners) - body" = the main portion of the landing gear
* "HessLandingGear (runners) - runner 1" = the right runner
* "HessLandingGear (runners) - runner 2" = the left runner (switch side there the front is away from the switch)

The parts were built to fit snugly but a drop of super glue will make them more child proof.

  1. Print all three parts (I fit them on my Ender 2 and had them print consecutively and just spread them out a little so nothing would get bumped).
  2. Remove the supports from the main part of the landing gear
  3. Test fit the runners onto each side.
  4. Remove the runners, add a little super glue (or similar) and glue runners onto landing gear.
  5. Install in Helicopter and enjoy.
