3D model description

The Western Castle of Age of Empire 2 is one of the most loved buildings in the history of video games. This is the typical Castle of Britons, Celts, Franks and Spanish.

I modeled this design from zero by Fusion 360. I was insipired by the original design of the castle in game but i added some detail to make it more realistic. In addition, I personally invented the back and the right side that cannot be seen in the game.

Take note: This model was designed to be a 3d print, so the texture are not included. Also the support are not included.

I included alternative type of the model (complete, without drawbridge, with a closed door etc.) so, if you want the Castle in a small scale, you can print the smallest pieces separately and then you can glue them together.

You can also make them in a more creative way: as example, I made the door from an ice cream stick (but balsa or cardboard are fine too), the beams from two matches, then I added two small chains that are easy to find in any model shop.

However, I always recommend printing the drawbridge apart from the castle.

I printed the Castle with my Elegoo Mars and sliced with Chitubox.

The pedestal is not included in the project (but in reality he does not need it, it still stands alone). What you can see in the preview is the raft that i left together with the print. Then i paint the Castle and added the static grass to the terrain.

I hope you enjoy it and remember … keep your castle away from bombards, rams and trebuchet :)

3D printing settings

My print setting was: - Layer height 0.05 mm; - Bottom layer count 5 seconds; - Exposure time 7 seconds; - bottom exposure time 60 seconds.
The object I made measure: 69 mm wide x 78 mm long x 93 mm high and it took about 8 hours to be printed.
