3D model description

I designed this part specifically to help a Macbook Air cope with the adverse effects of an all too close encounter with a little ginger tea. (But it would serve on other brands just as well.)

It fits on the edge of the aluminum case and with a finger below the junction and another one on top it sucks the air out from the body and creates an air flow that helps getting dry again.

Just make sure to set the vaccuum motor to slowest speed so it won't get to hot for lack of cooling airflow.

Later I found that the size of the nozzle is well suited to clean dust from a keyboard as well.

Sources (FreeCAD 20.dev) are included. Dimensions: inner radius of the round part is 17,2 - rectangle end: 56x8mm outside.

I printed it in TPU and didn't care much for after print finishing.

For printing turn it on the round side in the slicer.

Oh, and it worked!

I printed the vacuum cleaner nozzle to help a Macbook Air dry out a little after an all-too-close encounter with a cup of ginger tea.

For keyboard dusting, the size isn't bad either.

The round end has a clear width of 34.4mm and sits tightly on the connection pipe. The rectangular mouthpiece is 56x8mm and fits on the aluminum edge of the Macbook, but it helps to place a finger below and above the joint to seal it.

I printed the thing in TPU, with Bowden the surface is a bit uneven but that wasn't so important to me at the time. Place on the round end before printing in the slicer.

FreeCAD (20 dev) sources are included so that things can be easily customized.
