3D model description

This roof rack fits on a RC4WD Gelande II Land Rover Defender D90 hard body.

Print the rack plus three mounting planks and attach the planks with m2 screws and nuts to the rack (or glue them with superglue). There's a version of the rack with special mounts for the lamps. Make sure that the flat face of the mounting plank is at the bottom when printing.

Use transparent PETG to print the lenses for the lamps (the 50g transparent PETG filament sample from 3djake is a nice option if you don't need a whole spool). Paint the inner part of the lamps with silver for the best effect and glue the lenses to the lamp body (hopefully straighter then I did).

The rail is pretty brittle and won't survive a rollover, so only add it if you're a careful driver. Glue the rail with superglue.

The rack can be attached with m2 screws to the body. Drill holes through the body and use nuts on the inner side to fix it.

The lamps can be attached with tiny m1.5 screws directly from the bottom side of the rack.

All parts can be printed without support if laid down correctly on the bed. Use a strong filament that the rack will survive rollovers. There are nice "tough PLA" filaments that suit well. I used the Tough PLA from Formfutura, which turned out really nicely.
