3D model description

To make a potter's wheel from a washing machine motor, and bicycle parts, I had to make this pattern.

This is a derailleur pulley that I adapted to the 17mm diameter motor shaft with a blocker.

This potter's wheel has a 5 speed module also from a bike ^^

To make this potter's wheel from a washing machine motor and bicycle parts, I had to make this model.

This is a derailleur pulley that I have fitted to the 17mm diameter motor shaft with an ascender.

This potter's wheel is equipped with a 5-speed modul also coming from a bicycle ^^

Update 1: 23/05/2021

This model didn't fit the bike chain well enough, so I modified it via scan to get as close as possible to the derailleur part.

update 1:

This model wasn't really effective with the bike chain so I decided to 3D scan a bike system to get perfect fit.

Update 2: I realize my mistake when the lathe is running and that my companion is using it: yes it works perfectly but the driving pulley, like the bicycle crankset, must be wider than the one it drives to take advantage of the power and speed of the motor which turns in washing mode at 420 rpm (against 1200 in spinning mode). Normally a potter's wheel turns around 200 rpm.

Update 2:

I realised my mistake when my wife runned the wheel: Yes it work's perfectly but the power pulley, as in a bike system needs to be larger than the pulley it drives in order to use correctly the power and speed of the motor whitch turn at 420 rpm when in washing mod ( against 1200rpm in spin-drying mod). standardly, a potery wheel turns around 200 rpm
