###Stylus Pen for Trimble TSC3 Controller

This stylus pen has been designed and developed by a few 3D printer enthusiasts at Taylors Development Strategists. The idea was to provide our field crews our own designed and printed stylus pens for our controllers.

The idea started as a conversation between surveyors, and our team members then took the challenge. They designed and printed V1 in the colour red for high visibility in construction fields.

36 pieces of V1 stylus pens were handed over to our field crews to get feedback over 2 weeks. 16 out of 36 had broken easily because we had printed with 60% infill density. However, we were happy with the functionality, and we have kept the functioning parts of the design.

After getting a sufficient amount of feedback we have then started working on V2.

  • The 2 extruded rings on the body which were the weakest point of the item were removed so the strength was improved.
  • The thickness of the top hole was changed since V1 was chipping easily.
  • The logo "Taylors" was added.
  • 36 pieces were printed in red with 100% infill density and handed over to the field crews.

We have uploaded this project onto Instagram and have received positive feedback from a few fellow surveyors and decided to design special one for the Own The Centimetre Instagram account - OwnTheCM.

Special Edition V3

  • The Logo #OwnTheCM was added.
  • 36 pieces (as a block) printed in blue with 100% infill density.

  • Item is 110mm long
  • General body diameter is 6.15mm
  • Conic end highest diameter is 7.77mm
  • Top hole diameter is 3.50mm

Now, it has been published and shared with the globe so we can own the cm.
