3D model description

This is Model Products Corporation (aka MPC) Moon Go model rocket kit (# R-841), sold from about 1968 to 1970, converted into 3D models. You can print out the parts and add your own paper airframe tubing from Estes, shock cord, parachute and shroud lines.

(1) Estes BT-50 x 11 15/16 inches (303.21mm) main airframe tubing
(1) Centuri ST-11 x 6 inches (152.4mm) payload tubing

(1) Estes BT-20 x 66.8mm tubing (for motor)
(2) BT-50 to BT-20 motor mount centering rings
(1) Engine hook
(1) 15.0 inch/381mm diameter plastic parachute (octagonal shape; made of 1/4 or 1/2 mil polyethylene or 1/6 mil Mylar)
(4) Shroud lines 45 inches/1143mm long (made from Rayon/embroidery thread)
(1) Shock cord
(1) Shock cord mount

(1) Decal sheet

Note: All parts should be printed out with PETG or another filament with a higher glass transition temperature and melting point since PLA will melt/warp easily when subject to heat from the rocket motor, being left in a hot car, or left out in the Sun.

The decals were scanned and converted into Adobe file format and added to the list of files. You can print them on decal paper with a laser printer or inkjet.

A fin template file is included in the list of files you can download in case you want to make fins out of balsa or other material.
