3D model description

I was not really happy with the hotend- and part cooling fan setup in the Hypercube Evolution. I used the hotend-mount designed for the Original Prusa MK3, removed the stepper motor mount and attached it to the x-carriage. For this I removed multiple holes and added new ones to make mounting as easy as possible. I had to change the top part of the hotend mount as well to allow space for the nut and the shorter heatsink. A mount for the ir probe for the duet wifi was added:

To allow the space for the probe I had to trim down the fan-duct for part cooling. The fanduct design is not final. You might use a simple 3mm spacer and use the "original" MK3 fandcut (this is the short term fix I use for now).

The LM10UU x-carriage and belt-clamp by geoffsim was modified to mount the MK3-derivated parts.

This hotend-mount completely eliminates the use of the endstops. If you want to use endstops you have to come up with a solution yourself (I use skipped step detection on the Duet to home x/y-axis). This design is for the "new" E3D threaded heatsink:

To assemble this hotend mount you will need:

  • 1x 50 blower fan (part cooling)
  • 2x 40mm radial fan (cold end cooling)
  • E3D V6 with threaded heatsink
  • M3-Screws and nuts (you'll need 2-4x M3x45 screws to attach the hotend mount to the x-carriage)
