Are you a Nerf Internet Community diehard who uses Stefans, Slugs, domes, or other homemade darts? Do you like awesome sidearms and/or dual-wielding? Print this replacement cylinder and make a HammerShot ready for the most competitive NIC wars.

This replacement cylinder has five slots to hold PETG tubing, which can be purchased from industrial and plastics suppliers. The tubing is more consistent and airtight than 3D-printed barrels. Printing this cylinder from ABS or PLA, then combining it with commercial PETG barrels, lets use your preferred printer and filament without sacrificing battlefield performance.

To clarify, this model requires PETG tubing to be glued in after printing. You can print the cylinder with ABS, PLA, or any other material. Visit a Nerf Internet Community site like nerfhaven.com to find a supplier.

This cylinder uses the stock indexing mechanism (ratchet) for a more robust, longer-lasting design. The longer barrels and open airway improve ranges over stock, and the PETG tubing is more reliably airtight and has lower friction than 3D-printed barrels.

This mod is fully compatible with spring, trigger, hammer, and plunger modifications. It hasn't been tested against any cosmetic modifications.

To install:
* Print the cylinder and install PETG tubing. You can apply a bead of silicone sealant or Goop to the tubing for a tighter seal.
* Disassemble your HammerShot.
* Use a claw hammer or pry bar to remove the endcap from the spindle rod.
* Pry the spindle out of the cylinder.
* Remove the ratchet mechanism and ratchet spring from the cylinder.
* Install the ratchet spring, then the ratchet mechanism, in the replacement cylinder. Be careful to align the indexing bits on the ratchet mechanism with the notches on the cylinder.
* Push the spindle through the ratchet mechanism and cylinder.
* Replace the endcap.
* Install the new cylinder assembly in the HammerShot and test.

FAQ:
* Can I just install this without the tubing? No. This replacement cylinder is not airtight.
* What is PETG? It's a thin, rigid plastic tubing used by Nerf diehards, because it fits homemade darts.
* Will I be able to use the modded blaster with stock darts? Yes, with a minor range increase. However, 1/2" PETG is wider than the stock barrels. Stock Streamlines and other darts will fit loosely and fall out.
* How cool will I look with HammerShots akimbo? Damn cool, until you try to reload.
* Can I rear-load darts? No. The outlet of the HammerShot's plunger tube is too narrow. If I make the air inlets wide enough to rear-load, the blaster won't seal properly.
* Where can I get PETG? From suppliers like McMaster-Carr and specialty plastic suppliers. Search a Nerf Internet Community site like nerfhaven.com for definitive information.
* Can't you just tell me where to buy PETG? No. If you're using Nerf Internet Community blasters, I want you to be part of the NIC.
* Is the blaster safe to dry-fire? Yes. The HammerShot's plunger head is made of soft vinyl and survives dry-firing well.
* Does it seal well? Yes. The HammerShot's plunger tube has a thick, soft neoprene skirt and seals well. I recommend printing with a raft - the contact surface doesn't need to be smooth, but it does need to be flat.
* That shot didn't hit me! You're cheating! Barrel tap! That hit you!
* Can I print this with PLA? Sure. Mine is. Avoid using the blaster during cold weather, which makes PLA brittle.
