Eleni’s Snowman Bank is a large, beautiful, one of a kind coin bank that can be used to store your loose change. Even though the snowman has a winter Christmas theme, it will be appreciated and enjoyed everyday of the year! Our bank can store a sizeable quantity of coins. You insert the coins through the top of the hat through the coin slot. The largest coin that can go into the bank we have provided should be less than 32mm in diameter. If you need to put larger coins in the bank you can increase the size of the snowman proportionally using the included .stl files. Removing the coins from the bank is very easy.

To remove the coins, simply unscrew the hat off of the snowman to empty the coins from the bank. We considered using a rubber plug, However we believe by creating a removable hat is a much nicer design.

If you choose, you can print the hat in 2 colors using the included colored hat gcode file. This will prompt you to change the filament to an alternate color and then to change it back to the original color. You can also print the hat without a color change by slicing the included hat .stl file. The snowman’s eyes, nose, mouth and buttons were painted with black and orange acrylic paint.

Idea’s:

It might interesting to print or paint your snowman with different colors. You might also define different color regions with the snowman's body and hat. Matte colors hide the seams best. You might want to experiment with multi color filaments or filament blends as well.

It is possible to reduce or increase the size of the snowman with the included .stl files. Keep in mind the size of the coin slot and the capabilities of your printer.

Slicing/Printing Instructions:

Use a Random Seam so you do not create a seam line

At .2 layer height print quality, near bottom of the model may be a small printing imperfection due to the very small angle. This will not be visible unless you are staring at the bottom of the model. If you increase the layer height, you will decrease the imperfection at the cost of print quality. We printed our models at .2 quality layer height to obtain better overall quality. We were satisfied with the prints with this non-visible imperfection.
