3D model description

Made a mold to make your own silicone socks for the MP Select Mini V2 hotend like the E3D ones but to the proper measurements, this does not fit E3D hotends or colones, only the MPSM V2 stock hotend, the block measurements are 16mmx16mmx12mm. You only need to print the Mold file, the other one is to have a preview of the finished part.
It also fits his Anycubic i3 mega.
Try to print in PETG if you can, it will prevent the silicone from sticking to the mold.

/!\ USE SOAP inside the mold! Dish soap will prevent the silicone from fusing with the mold. Without soap, you will NOT be able to take the part out of the mold /!\

  • UPDATE: V5 Closed one side that didn't needed to be opened (which was the main reason fro remixes) and tightened the sock a bit to hold better.
  • UPDATE: V4 never made it to Thingiverse, skip to V5.
  • UPDARE: V3 Refined the design of the sock.
  • UPDATE: V2 Made the walls of the sock 3mm instead of 2mm.
  • UPDATE: V1.1 Added 0.1mm gaps for tolerances and proper assembly.

I am using this silicone (link below) to make the part as it can resist up to 375Β°c, apply some dish soap inside the mold before pouring the silicone then let it cure for more than a day (my first attempt was not dry after 24h):
