3D model description

Dual 60mm fan adapter for the Da Vinci 1.0 series 3D printers side window with slide on cover. This permits sealing the side opening when printing materials that require a stable printing environment to reduce warping; e.g. ASA & ABS.

Design is capable of using various 60mm fans; 10, 15 & 25mm thick fans to meet the different CFM needs of a print job or type of filament. Each fan size has a corresponding center cover to conceal any wiring and/or electronics used to control the fan state.

The fan adapters may be modified as needed to permit holes/slots be added before printing by modifying the provided STEP files.

Slide on covers permit switching from printing with the fans with PLA to a more stable enclosed environment for ABS or other temperature sensitive filament.

The design uses the same heavy duty locking tabs as the replacement blank http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3947729.

Printed design parts pictured are the first prints using the hotend retrofit with an MK8 heat throat using a V6 J-head heat block and nozzle in ABS filament; http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4310524.
