3D model description

V was a science fiction franchise created by american writer, producer and director Kenneth Johnson about a genocidal invading alien race known as the "Visitors"—reptilian humanoids disguised as human beings—trying to take over Earth, and the human reaction to this, including the Resistance group attempting to stop them, while others collaborate with the aliens for power and personal wealth.

The two-part television miniseries V aired in 1983, written and directed by Johnson. It was followed in 1984 by a three-part miniseries, V: The Final Battle, and a nineteen-episode weekly television series, V (sometimes referred to as V: The Series) during the 1984–85 television season.

The spaceships used in the series were design by Art Director Charles Davis, who also worked in many series in the 80's, like Knight Rider, Airwolf and Magnum P.I.

This is a 3D printing model of a Visitor's Skyfighter, with functional opening door and two variants: in flight with landing gear up or with landing gear down on the ground. Also optional is the addition of blasters on the front and rear.

(29/3/2022) Updated and improved assembly manual.

3D printing settings

Test prints were made on a Creality Halot One, with standard resin, at 1:48 scale (approximately 13 cm long), with an approximate resin volume of 80 ml.

Pre-supported files are included in both STL and 3MF formats, although the need for supports is minimal. The native Fusion 360 file is also attached.
