In Starter Set you will find 2 basic Armies:
• 8x Elf Models (Giant Owl Rider, Elf Mage, Elf Archer, Treefolk, Bear Cavalry, Wood Spirit(x2), Stag Raider)
• 8x Knight Models (Giant Griffon Rider, Heavy Knight, Assassin, Cleric, Bard, Halabardier(x2), Trebuchet)

The first thing an apprentice 3D printer needs to know are the different printing methods. There are many of them but the two most commonly used for the tabletop hobby are FDM and SLA/DLP.

FDM uses a plastic filament that is melted and applied by the extruder which swings around the printing platform. The model is formed by spreading a layer after layer of material on top of each other. This technology is perfect for printing all kinds of terrains and elements that do not require the highest precision.
SLA/DLP uses resin that is hardened (cured) by the UV light source. The printing platform is submerged in the material and the subsequent layers stick to the bottom as they are cured one by one. The model slowly rises above the resin container in the process. Resin printing has excellent quality and precision, it is perfect for printing characters.
It is still possible to print the characters in FDM and terrains in SLA/DLP but the effects will not always be as good as when using a dedicated method.
