3D printing settings
Nozzle Size: To print large parts, it is recommended to use a larger diameter nozzle, such as 0.8mm or even 1.0mm. This will allow for a higher material flow rate and speed up the printing process.
Thicker Layers: Increase the layer thickness in your slicing software. Using thicker layers will reduce printing time. However, it's important to balance print speed with desired quality, as overly thick layers can affect the accuracy and details of the part.
Thicker Walls: Adjust the wall thickness of the part to provide greater strength and stability. Increasing the number of perimeters or shells can reinforce the structure of the part and prevent potential deformations.
Reduced Infill: For large parts, you can use a lower infill percentage or even eliminate it altogether if the part's structure allows. This will help save printing time and material.
Print Speed: You can increase the print speed to expedite the process, as long as it doesn't significantly compromise the quality of the part. However, keep in mind that print speed is also dependent on your printer's capabilities and the stability of the structure during movement.
Part Orientation: The orientation of the part can impact stability and print quality. Experiment with different orientations to minimize overhangs and protruding features, which will reduce the likelihood of deformations.
