Build your own R2-D2: Here's my latest original creation, a magnificent high-quality R2-D2, with all the details of the 42 cm R2D2 in his 1977 New Hope version (more exactly the scene where he reads Princess Leia's message in Obi Wan Kenobi's house). It has been specially designed for 3D printing, with LED and SOUND integration planned: Supplied with sounds in English/German/French (Leia's message). Can be enlarged.

All the different-colored parts are separated to paint each piece appropriately, unlike other models that are available for download.


Can be mounted without motor or L.E.D. if desired.


Printed in PLA and PLA Clear.


Best results when polished with 500/1000 grit sandpaper.


Painting with Spay Silver, Blue, White, varnish only on blue and white not on Silver.


Very detailed assembly instructions (PDF) with over 40 illustrations to guide you step by step through the assembly of this magnificent DroΓ―d.


Full ARDUINO code and wiring diagrams are provided and detailed for each L.E.D. and servomotor.


I recommend printing in 0.1mm for perfect quality.
