3D model description

I made this exclusive and elegant chess board in hope of making it easier to play games such as chess and checkers for a range of board gamers out there such as myself.

Printing the chess board on different levels helps keep pieces in place to make the game easier as well as making the board more visually aesthetic. This is because the different levels allow for a colour change in any 3d slicer software out there!

This unique board prints in a single print so there is no need to keep printing individual parts.

3D printing settings

Prints comfortably without supports!

  • Takes under 12 hours in one go INCLUDING the time needed for a colour change if you wanted.

  • Prints well with 10% stars infill, infill can be increased for stronger structure with the cost of more time.

  • printed well in 0.3 layer height. You can go for 0.2 if you desire to have more detail on the curved edges, however this takes significantly longer to print.

  • Bed temp at 60 degrees

_ Nozzle temp at 205 degrees

  • colour change midway through will create an effect where only the top squares and curved edges are a different colour of your choice.
