3D model description

This is a simple but effective Nose Mount for the Stealthwings Raphax.

The FPV Cam compartment fits Mini Size Cameras with 22mm housing or smaller with an adapter.

The GoPro compartment has a tight fit for a Hero 5 Black, Hero 6 Black or Hero 7. The included Velcro slots include a metal rod slit. You can use a piece of pushrod wire (1-1.5mm) to wrap the celcro around it and fix it inside the mount. Then just glue some velcro at the bottom to have a good contact and secure the camera.

Cut down the Foam a bit further compared to the wood walls. The Top hatch will then be glued onto the rail on the mount.

There are different versions with different cam down tilt angles. 7Β° down tilt for Cruising and better view to the ground. 4Β° down tilt for mixed flying and a flat version with no down tilt for mainly acrobatic flying and better upside down view.

Keep in mind that using a Gopro and a big Battery might make the plane nose heavy. Only recommended with a powerful and big motor like a 2820 or bigger.

Update 12.12.2020: I have added a blank nose with just the FPV cam spacing and also the Fusion 360 Project file for easier remixes. Have fun guys.
