3D model description

Type: Battlecat BTC-6N
Technology Base: Inner Sphere
Tonnage: 75
Battle Value: 1,536
Cost: 18,782,750 C-Bills
Introduction: 3108

Overview
The Magistracy Armed Forces added the Battlecat to their ranks
starting in 3108. Contracted with producing a BattleMech that could both handle direct combat and support roles, the Battlecat was the result. Approved almost immediately, it was in full-scale production by 3109.

Capabilities
A Rotary AC/5, two Medium Pulse Lasers and two Streak SRM
4s provided the Battlecat a good damage output at close or long range. Seen by some onlookers as a strange inclusion, Canopian
MechWarriors were able to make use of a โ€˜Mech Mortar 2. Despite
LRM weaponry being far more common, this weapon had a few distinct

advantages. First, its rounds were not stopped by Anti-Missile
Systems, allowing them to penetrate where LRM or SRM rounds might not. Secondly, while shaped-charge ammunition offered direct offensive capability, it could also be loaded with numerous types of other ammo including smoke, airburst, and anti-personnel just to name a few.

Deployment
The Battlecat was produced exclusively for the Magistracy
Armed Forces and used by them throughout the Dark Age and ilClan era. Several were deployed to Cateโ€™s Hold to reinforce the new garrison there overseeing rebuilding efforts following a nuclear attack by pirates several years earlier.

Variants
While no official variations of the Battlecat exist, pilots were
known to make field modifications based on their preferences. The
most common was exchanging the mortar ammunition for semi-guided or airburst rounds. Some MechWarriors who wanted better protection also shifted around their ammunition bins and added CASE for protection though this came at the expense of armor

3D printing settings

I do not 3D print, nor do I have anything but the most basic of modeling skills. I mainly just kitbash from other's creations to build apocryphal designs and variants. IE: the model quality and settings are probably similar to the parts I used.

At least they're free.
