3D model description

The Rapid Deployment/Light Tank was developed by AAI Corporation to meet a specification requested by the US Army in 1980. The RDF/LT was armed with the Ares 75mm automatic cannon now designated as the XM274. The fully stabilized gun had a high tracking rate and a maximum elevation of about 40 degrees providing both antiarmor and antiaircraft capability. To simplify the design, engineers abandoned the gas turbine engine and hydro-pneumatic suspension used on the HSTV-L light tank. Work on the light tank was halted in 1982 because the U.S. Army lost interest in the ARES gun project.

Two variants of the light tank are presented: the standard version and the late modification with the installation of smoke grenade launchers and side skirts.

Model is designed for printing on SLA printers.
