3D model description

An adaptor/ manifold (1 in 19mm, 3 out parallel 13mm) to allow easy connection of poly pipe for solar water heater suitable for small pools / SPA's.

Used with standard 19 & 13mm poly pipe (black irrigation pipe available in hardware stores) to get high surface area to volume ratio for best heating

My installation with ~100m of 13mm poly pipe cut in 8m lengths, running from 20W 12V DC pump supplied by a 20W solar panel, heats my 1000L spa between 6-8 degrees C above the maximum ambient temperature on a clear sunny day - i.e. on a clear 30C day typically heats spa to 36C to 38C, on a clear 24C day typically heats spa to 30C - 32C.

Design suitable for low pressure pumps only: ~ 5m to 10m head pressure.
Design NOT intended for mains pressure applications.

Operation directly from solar panel achieves great heating result without need for a solar controller - when sun is shining pump runs, when cloudy pump stops.

3D printing settings

PETG recommended for higher temperature / UV resistance.
Minimum 3mm walls , top, bottom and high infill for best pressure performance.
Reduce layer height to improve seal to poly pipe
Supports needed for horizontal 19mm section, only from build plate
