3D model description

The Isokari lighthouse is located in the Uusikaupunki archipelago in the Baltic Sea and is the second tallest lighthouse in Finland.

It was during the russian domination of Finland in the 19th century when it was decided to build a brand new lighthouse and a pilot station on the island of Isokari to help secure the new sea lane across the archipelago thus avoiding transit through Swedish waters.

The lighthouse is designed by Major Gustaf Brodd who projected a structure made with stone and brick that raises up to 50m slightly inspired by the nearby russian Tolbukhin lighthouse. It was commissioned in 1838

The model was designed using pictures and detailed drawing of the actual building in scale 1/160 (N scale).

You can resize it using your favourite software before print, however, if you do so, some of the parts may lose stability or look over scaled.

Model has 18 different pieces that you need to assembly as any other model kit: I attached an instruction booklet together with the downloaded files. Printing, painting and weathering will give a lot of fun.

This model can be a great addition to your layout or diorama.

Happy modelling!
