Update 1
I designed the new wreath because not everyone who owns a Bambu Lab printer also owns an AMS. I own an AMS, but I don't really use it because I prefer the direct feed. On the other hand, there are certainly many users who prefer to have the AMS set up next to the printer.
The new rim has the advantage that you have a better top view of the printed material and, more importantly, that when you take the disc out completely, the accumulated heat can escape better.
For installation:
Just unscrew the old parts and replace them with the new parts, the nuts and bolts will be reused.
To the 4 parts that need to be replaced
1 - 1 - Update without AMS - Wreath top - Left - 140g
1 - 2 - Update without AMS - Wreath top - Right - 96g
1 - 3 - Update without AMS - Wreath top -Rear - Left - 91g
1 - 4 - Update without AMS - Wreath top -Rear - Right - 66g
Update 2
Update for the Bambu Lab X1-Carbon
I designed the waste chute for the filament because my furry roommates always think there treats fall into the bin. With the waste chute with waste box that I designed, my cats have not even managed to get to the filament because everything is covered and sits behind a screen. However, you can still get to the waste box very quickly and without any problems to remove and empty it.
The waste box is attached to the printer with 2 x M3 x 10mm screws, before that you unscrew the 2 original screws of the filament ejector from the printer (picture - outlined in red) and replace them with the 2 x M3 x 10mm screws.
There are 5 files involved in the update.
1 - Waste chute - 150g Unfortunately, support is needed here (a picture is in the image gallery).
2 - Waste box - 65g no support needed.
3 - Aperture - 13g no support needed
4 - Handle - 1.6g no support needed
5 - Manhole cover - 15g no support needed
The handle is attached to the waste box with the cover, this requires 5 screws.
M3 - 4 x 8mm screw bezel
M3 - 1 x 18mm screw handle
M3 - 5 x lock nut
The second handle is attached to the trim for the waste chute, for this you need.
M3 - 1 x 24mm screw handle
M3 - 1 x lock nut
Update 3
The Update 3 is a threading aid / guide aid for the filament. Due to the elevated position of the Teflon tube, a cleaner unrolling of the filament can be noticed.
For better understanding, there are pictures in the image gallery.
To fix the filament guide
The filament guide is simply attached to the lower rim, again only 2 new screws are needed - M3 x 43mm the lock nuts from the frame are used again, after all it is called update and not rebuild π.
There are more updates planned for the setup, like a filament switch, it's already in planning and testing, but is still causing real problems. The filament switch will only be put online when it really works 100% π
Also, a tool holder and mount for the LED/RGB switch is in the works.
I am open to suggestions and ideas.
I hope I have forgotten nothing π
Kind regards from Hesse
