MCon-System | "SPINE" Lamp Kit with exchangeable lampshades

Fully flexible and customizeable 'gooseneck-like' work light or accent lighting with easily exchangeable lampshades and adjustable friction of individual elements.

Easily spans over 50 cm horizontally (!) printed in PLA+.

All contained elements are compatible to all other MCon-System Elements.

The elements allow internal feed-through of cables up to 6 mm diameter.

The lampshades come on and off with just a twist of your wrist and a click.

This kit contains all printable parts to build the depicted "SPINE" lamp or customized variations:

• Organic lampshade

• Industrial lampshade

• Lampshade holder with twist-lock mechanism and GU 5.3 LED socket

• MCon-System basic M-F ball-and-socket element V009

• Three different mounts; a very strong magnetic mount, a universal mount for screwing or clamping and even one mount for standard curtain rails

• M2x14 screws (DIN-EN-ISO 4762) (1 per ball-and-socket element and 1 per lampshade holder)

-M3x10 or M3x12 screws (DIN-EN-ISO 4762) ( 2 per lampshade holder)

• 0.75 mm² wiring

• GU5.3 socket (similar to this: https://www.amazon.de/Sparset-Evolution-Fassung-Qualit%C3%A4ts-Silikonkabel/dp/B00TYCOXJO )

• 12 V LED driver or other 12 V DC power supply (min 0.75 A per lamp)

• GU5.3 MR16 LED lamp (max. 7 W)

• Heatshrink tubes

• Soldering materials

• (Optional) Cord switch

• (Optional, only for magnetic mount) round neodymium magnets with 10 mm diameter and 5 mm height

**When building this model, please follow guidelines for the safe use of electrical equipment and use common sense. These components are only intended for use with LED lamps of max. 7 W, NOT for (halogen) incandescent lamps, as these become much too hot. Even 12 V systems can be a potential fire hazard if not done properly. If you are unsure, contact an expert or have an expert do the (wiring and connecting) work. I am not responsible for any damage that may result from improper execution.

No special requirements and no supports needed (except for the "universal mount", "magnetic mount" and "lampshade holder" for which I recommend using supports).

Works fine with PLA+, though I recommend using PETG. Print standing up on the largest flat section of the specific model, lampshades standing up on the socket, lampshade holder standing up on the "female" ball socket), I recommend using a brim for PETG. If you experience problems, try reducing printing speed, turning up model cooling fan or increasing minimum time per layer.

I printed with up to 60 mm/s (PLA+) or (max) 50 mm/s (PETG), min. 80% infill, min. 6 wall/top/bottom layers (for max. stability set "wall count" to 100, so it's printed "solid" with no infill at all), 0.4 mm nozzle and 0.2 mm layer height.
