Description

THIS ONLY INCLUDES FILES FOR 3D PRINTING

This is a remote controlled watercooled brushless rc boat that i have designed in Autodesk Fusion 360. It is a sharp deep v-hull for high speed racing in rough water. I have achieved over 55km/h with my current setup, but i know that it can go faster. The boat can be printed on a Prusa MK3S+ or anything similar. I have designed it to fit a TFL carbon motor mount and a rc boat metal hardware kit from ebay. It is watercooled and the batteries can be mounted on the sides of the hull. One good feature with this boat is that you can modify and remove the bolt-on transom if your specific parts does not fit. This makes it easier to fix your boat if for example something hits the rudder in high speeds and the rudder mount breaks.

I have printed my boat in white PLA and painted it.

Print settings:

  • 6 perimeters/walls
  • 50% infill
  • 0.4 mm nozzle (a bigger one can be used to reduce print times)
  • 0.2 mm layer height
  • No supports except for the Hull4 part

My Electronics setup: Motor: Leopard 4074 1750kv ESC: Seaking 180A Prop: eBay CNC X445 Servo: PowerHD 20kg waterproof Batteries: 2x VP-Flight 3s 25c 4000mAh in series (6S) Connectors: XT90, 6mm bullets Battery straps: Hacker motors Transmitter and receiver: Flysky GT3C and Flysky GR3E

Hardware: I used a rc boat hardware kit from eBay that included rudder, propeller shaft and strut, turn fins and trim tabs. You will also need 4x M4 screws, 4x M4 3d printer inserts and some window trim for the lid. A good rc boat watercooling tube is Traxxas 5759.
