Nightfox Cape Night Vision Goggles Shade / light blocker for NVG

Slight update:

I am including version 3 which has a more comfortable side shade profile.

I Purchased a Nightfox cape NVG system. Not bad for the money but it lets all the light bleed from the screen onto your face as well as letting other light in from the sides. Nobody makes a shade so I designed this one.

I do have a large head so you might need to do some mods to best fit your face.

As such I included some blanks to use to make your own. I included 3.

1 is the Base needed to attach to the NVG with the nose spot marked.
2 is a blank hood to be modified as you see fit to fit your face if you need to customize.
3 is a hood that has the forehead cut already done so you only have to cut the nose.

Please keep in mind if you design your own that the hood goes on top of the base and since they are the same size they need to be combined in your editing software with the hood on top of the base.

Quick slip fit remains secure without adhesive.

Blocks light from entering the side of your eyes and blocks screen light from leaking out.

Easy fit with TPU print.

Printed in TPU at .28 at 20% infill with 2 walls. I have a microswiss all metal hot end with direct drive so I was able to print this pretty fast (under 4 hours) but you can print this on a stock machine but you have to pretty much 0 your retraction settings and slow down your speed to 20 or less.
