3D model description

The dimensions of the assembled insert are 33x33.5 cm and the height is 2.5 cm

The insert is ideally high to allow the pieces to be easily pulled out and at the same time to keep the fragile parts hidden under the surface of the insert.

The hole at the bottom of parts 3 and 4 is for space for the lock to the chessboard.
If you make a box without a lock, the hole can be used to make it easier to take the insert out of the box.

I specifically used "ColorFabb varioShore TPU Black filament" for the insert which is a perfect choice with Infill 15% (Cubic).
Anyway, you can certainly use any other TPU material that suits you.
Since the aforementioned "varioShore filament" seemed to gain volume when printed, the figure holes are
a few hundredths of a millimeter larger than the figures themselves. This ensures that the figures won't fall out of the insert,
even when it's upside down. But at the same time, the figures can still be easily removed with two fingers by the base of the figure.
Despite the ample room for the figures, I would DEFINITELY NOT recommend printing the insert out of any hard material.

Despite all my efforts to keep the figures from moving in the box even when falling down the stairs,
I recommend making the box 1,5 cm taller and fill the resulting space with 1 cm high soundproof foam available in most hobby markets :)

The last detail I noticed after playing a few times is that the end of the mace the knight is holding fits too tightly.
I didn't want to modify the model anymore, so if you don't want to have one knight without a weapon like I have,
I recommend taking the knight out of the insertion by the base, with a slight pressure on the bottom of the hole. (Apologies).

I wish you a pleasant experience both while playing and looking at your insert :)
