3D model description

A box for magic the gathering commander decks or cards in general.

Is your deck trash and belongs in the dumpster? I got you covered.
This sturdy deckbox is a perfect fit for your MTG Commander deck or any other standard sized (or smaller) cards. There is space for ~130 sleeved cards as well as a card slot in the lid for your commander if you like. You can also fit 30 dice (standard size 16mm), In the second chamber, or replace 4 of them with a handy life counter! (numbers from 0 to 99) It is especially designed and tested to be comfortable to use as well as practical/actually usefull while maintaining the trashy look ;)

To access all your dice at once without dumping them out, a dicetray was added to add and remove dice with ease.
The additional life counter is specifically designed for this deckbox so it fits within the dice tray in place of 4 dice.
(And to fit in every other Dice container you may have.)

There are also optional wheels for a more accurate dumpster look. They do spin and are also printed without support.

The box closes with a snaphook integrated into the lid. To open or close it you slightly press it in and at the same time pull it up or press it down.

Files included:

  • Deckbox (M3 and 4-40 format)
  • Cover/Lid (M3 and 4-40 format) There is also a cover/lid with a brim included that requires some cleanup after printing, but can be used if the normal lid does not stick to the plate.
  • life counter (5 parts)
  • dice tray
  • wheel (2 parts)

Update - If Your hook Snaps:
The "Troubleshooting_Hook_Snap_m3-mm.zip" contains two variations of the m3 box.

  • with a wider snap ('MoreThickness')
  • with a more narrow snap ('LessThickness')

However, those are not Tested and should only be used or tried if the normal version does not work for some reason.
The idea is that the wider version is easier to print but probably not so flexible and the more narrow version is more flexible and less prone to breaking due to bending.

(Currently only for the M3 -metric- Version of the box, but the only difference is the screw hole between "m3" and "4-40")

Screws:
You need 2 screws to connect the lid to the box. There is a version for countersunk M3-15mm or M3-20mm screws (e.g. ISO-7046)
and one for countersunk 4-40 3/4 inch (e.g. UNC 2A), or a bit shorter, screws.
Basically any screw with core diameter between 2-2.2mm and an outer diameter (with thread) between 2.5-3mm should do. (Though i tested it with M3-15mm Screws)

Assembly:

  • Deckbox: Place the lid on the box to be closed and push it flat. Screw in 2 screws at the connection.

  • Lifecounter: Stick the middle part on one of the sides add the wheels with the knobs facing outwards on the middle part. Stick the second side panel on. No glue required.

  • Wheels: To assemby the wheels, put both parts together by inserting part two with the knob into the side of the wheel.
Glue them together or simply hold them together and push it into to holes on the bottom of the box (here no glue is required).
Using small pliers is recommended. Some force is required to push the wheels in.

Box Size
~118 x ~108 x ~108 mm in width,length, height
