3D model description

Helical Bishop, standard chess set sized, solid in the base for weight balance. Prints directly from the build plate with no supports, surprisingly sturdy and durable for its minimalist design. Semi translucent resins add extra flair with the thin helical spokes.

The bishop is probably my second favorite design of this set (Favorite is the queen). Its probably the most fun to fidget with, and is also probably the best example of the base design concept of the opposing helical twisting spokes following the profile of the shape. Each piece I try to grab key design elements from the classic chess sets along with the piece shape. The bishop incorporates the mid-skirt along with the elongated ball top.

3D printing settings

Printed on an Anycubic Photon Mono 2 with any resin, flat to the build plate, no supports.
