Hogwarts House Crest Silhouette Gryffindor Hufflepuff Ravenclaw Slytherin

Just for fun! We've designed each of the House Crests of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry from the wildly popular Harry Potter book and film series. These are negative space silhouettes designed for printing in a single color.

The Hogwarts House Crests include:
- House Gryffindor The Lion - Daring, Nerve & Chivalry
- House Hufflepuff The Badger - Just, Loyal & Patient
- House Ravenclaw The Raven - Wit, Wisdom & Thirst for Knowledge
- House Slytherin The Snake - Ambition, Cunning & Self-Reliance

Why More Hogwarts Symbols?
We know items such as these already exist. We aren't beating a dead horse, so to speak. We've specially modeled each house crest STL file to print as a single piece. Some lines have been adjusted to connect with the lines around them so that there are no floating pieces (as the actual crests would require).

For example, each letter in the house name has been carefully positioned to attach to the next letter and/or the walls of the name banner. In Hufflepuff, the badger's eye has been repositioned to connect to the line of its snout. These slight adjustments ensure the models will print in one strong piece.

Great For Bleaching & Tie-Dye
Our Hogwarts fanart doesn't just make a great wall decoration. You can also use them to make your own Tee shirts and hoodies. Simply print out the STLs, place them over a piece of clothing, then spray bleach or tie-dye ink over the model. Wait a few seconds, and you've got a unique homemade gift for your favorite Harry Potter fan!

Tips For Coloring Clothes with Bleach: If you're using bleach, dilute with at least 1/4 water. Clean your 3D print with soap and water immediately after to ensure the bleach doesn't eat away at the smaller connections. They may crack over time, especially with repeated bleaching. A fine-mist spray bottle is recommended for best results.

3D Print With or Without Holes for Hanging
Each of the STLs comes in two versions. There's the standard one (i.e. Gryffindor.stl), and a second option "wHole" (i.e. Gryffindor wHole.stl). The wHole editions have a small hole centered at the top for easy hanging. With Ravenclaw, there are wings at the top center, so we positioned two holes on the left and right corners.

If you plan to hang these with sticky tak or puddy, you won't need to holes. If you prefer a nail, screw, or string, those holes will come in very handy.

These are all very simple prints that require nothing more than basic settings and relatively quick speed. No supports or brims should be necessary. They do have some thin lines, so a layer height of 0.16 is strongly encouraged.

Recommended Settings are:
Layer Quality / Resolution: 0.16
Infill: 20%
Speed: 80mm/sec
Supports: No
Plate Adhesion: None

Tip: Some 3D printer beds print beautiful bottom surfaces. For example, Textured PEI and glass beds that don't require glue often have a better bottom layer quality than top layer. If you think your bottom surface is more visually appealing, you can rotate the Y 180 to print upside down. Alternatively, you can "Enable Ironing" in your slicer to get a smoother top surface.
