3D model description

#DICEXCULTS

Dice cup and six dice.

This is a cup for rolling dice with a special outer wall. This skin is printed flat and with the help of a color change you get a nice two-colored cup. There are five parts, no gluing is necessary. The model can also be disassembled.

  1. main cup with grooves for the outer skin.

  2. base for the cup with thread.

  3. outer skin for the cup, just print, two-colored, with color change. Then heat with a hairdryer or hot water and wrap around the cup. The base is screwed on and presses the outer skin into position, see photos.

  4. the lid (optional). You can store leftover cubes in the lid while you play.

  5. the flexible inner layer (inlet) is optional and is used for noise insulation. It is simply inserted into the cup and clipped around the rim. Flex material. (it also works without this inlet, but the dicing is louder).

  6. there is a 3MF file included, this is prepared for color printing, or for painting, this replaces part 1-3.

  7. there are still cubes included. Please print the black inlets first, then print the cube outer layer with a pause. Insert the prepared inlets during the printing pause. This will give you colored dots, see photos.

Have fun rolling the dice!

3D printing settings

For the noise insulation I used FiberFlex 40D, 0.3mm layer.

For the outer skin PLA, 0.2mm layer

For the main cup, base and lid I used PLA, 0.3mm layer. Print the main body upside down.

The cube inlets 0.2mm, PLA.

The cubes 0.15mm, PLA.

Everything without supports!

The nozzle size was 0.4mm for me.
