The original spool holder of the FLSUN V400 is unstable and wobbly. The filament spool can hardly rotate on it. It is also difficult to access due to the height of the printer and its position at the back, especially for smaller people.

My alternative:

A spool holder is inserted into the grooves of the aluminum profile of the front printer columns, but can also be used in the grooves of the rear printer column. There is one coil holder for the left-hand groove and one for the right-hand groove. The spool holder can either be equipped with ball bearings or with a ball bearing dummy.

The type 6202 ball bearing used can be purchased from AliExpress for less than 1 euro or from Amazon for less than 5 euros.

If the spool holder is attached to the right-hand printer column in the rear groove, as shown in the photos, the filament spool is very easy to access.

There are 3 sizes of spool holders to choose from.

One for filament rolls in the standard width of approx. 65 mm and one for wider filament rolls such as Amazon Basics, while an extended roll holder brings the filament roll closer to the center.

The M9x12 screw is not necessary, it only makes sense to use it to prevent vibrations of the spool holder.

Note that the top cover plate of the printer column must be removed by loosening the 2 screws in order to insert the coil holder.
