3D model description

The Eagle gets a bad rap. I think people struggle to use light mechs that are not either 35 tons and/or stupid fast. Now, it is not a great mech by any stretch, but it also is not bad (plus, it has a cute igloo shaped head). Like the Panther, it is not really a recon mech, but better fits a fire support role. Options for what this 25 ton mech can do are limited by its 5/8/5 speed. The two decent variants, the 1M and 2M, use an ERLL to let the mech serve as a very cheap (both in c-bills and BV) direct fire support mech. The 1M backs the main gun up with AMS and an ERSL, while the more common 2M trades those systems for TAG and an ERML. Really, both models want to keep at range as much as possible due to the lower speed and armor levels befitting a 25 ton mech. The final variant, the 3M, seems to have had its loadout designed by a drunk Blakist: it ditches all the weapons for a LPPC and VSMPL (sidenote: why do Wobbies use so many LPPCs and VS-pulse lasers?). As just covered, this mech is not suited to close ranges because it neither fast nor tanky. But hey, to each their own.

Frankly, the good variants of this mech can outduel a Panther more often than not (because of the low BV allows better pilots). Moreover, if you look at the whole Curtis Militech line, the role of this mech makes a lot of sense. Use a Wraith to close in fast and draw fire, have an Eagle a little further back Tagging, and let the unholy-lurm-chodes (Yeomen) release a nauseating amount of LRMs at the enemy. It is rare to see a small battletech corporation have such a cohesive menu of mechs.

The artistic design is based on Bishop Steiner's re-imagining (https://www.deviantart.com/bishopsteiner/art/March-of-the-Robots-Day-20-the-Iggle-910472864) but I did incorporate some bits and bobs from the original block-monster artwork.

3D printing settings

I use an SLA printer. The model has a lot of fine detail, so try to use very thin layers. For FDM users, I think it should print but I am reasonably confident you will lose panel line details.
