SIMPLE PUZZLE-STYLE INTERCONNECTION
The INSTADUNGEON system utilizes "puzzle-style" interconnections that board games have used for decades. This allows its tiles to be quickly connected together.
FULLY INTEGRATED TILES
Each tile is a single piece of plastic, with all features already part of the tile (fully integrated), so there is nothing you need to do before you can use these tiles in your games out of the box—just start using them! We've designed my INSTADUNGEON tiles with FDM printing in mind—resin has not faired well in our testing, but your mileage may vary.
We personally print our prototypes on a few printers, but always including a Creality CR-6SE, which has a 235 x 235mm bed. We would generally recommend a printer with a decent bed size at least 200 x 200mm (the Creality, Prusa, Ultimaker and clones tend to meet this requirement).
If you do have smaller print bed, you may need to scale the STLs a little so you can print them. For example, if you are happy to play at 25-28mm (or smaller) with 1-inch bases, reducing the scale to of the Sci Fi series tiles to 75% will result in 30mm spaces rather than the default 40mm spaces. This will work fine, so long as you are consistent and scale every tile in your set to the same value. Scaling down will also have the added advantage of reducing your print time and costs—and it will take up less space on your tabletop too. (We design them at the larger 40mm size squares to accommodate those games that need bigger spaces to fit the miniatures.) :)
