3D model description

A new look for the famous FMS ATLAS 6WD now tranqformed in a truck car carrier.

One main frame is fitted onto the truck, you just have to remove all rear plastic parts on the rear area of the model

You need M1.4 screws to fit the rear of the main frame in the last rear holes of the Atlas chassis frame. It becomes the hinge around which the whole stuff is going to rotate.
Rear angle is now 30Β° , we lost a bit but I designed the platform to keep 30Β°. The length is enough for a Scx24 gladiator which is the longer version of the SCX 24 chassis.
To keep this 30Β° I add a movable end frame which can adjust to the ground level. Just tight a bit the 2 M2 screws and it will stay in place in any position you want it to be. There are two brackets in the file set and holes to receive it but it is not really necessary.

Grip plate allow the crawler to climb into easily providing good grip. There are many holes on the tracks then you can use tie rap to clamp the tires on the platform if you plan to crawl a bit with a loaded truck onto the platform.

When in loading position two legs maintain the angle and you have to puch it back when moving to driving position.

A clip is added on one side to get the platform locked to the Atlas chassis. Just remove one screw of the original chassis frame to allow this clip to be at the right place.

You can screw all parts except grip plates which have to be glued in case you want to use it. Side panels can also be removed in case you use extra large crawlers or extra large tires.

You have included one option if you want. this option is an add on to jump the car over the Atlas cabin centering better the weight on the 3 axles of the Atlas; Gravity center become bad but look is different. Angle to climb is for strong guys !

You just have to remove the front grid you should have screwed and not glued and replace with the option one. Additionnal ramps and side parts and grip panels have to be assembled all together and you can fit it to the truck. See pictures it is the best way to understand.

Very simple to print on small machine.

All screws are M1,4 x 6 8 10 and 12mm depends of the place.

As usual you have to redrill holes to 1.2mm when a screw has to screw in and redrill to 1.5mm when a screw has to go through freely.

Parts have to be located properly on the bed as I don't know how to do it at the design phase.
