3D model description

A box designed to safely store cash or valuable items while keeping a fast access to them, it's composed of two parts: a screwable support and the box itself. The box slides into the support by two lateral guide rails. It can be hidden, for example, below desks, tables, some drawers, low shelves, etcetera.

Two different box files are included with different heights as for storing more or less banknotes or valuable items, one of 18mm and another one of 25mm. Measures (160 x 70mm interior) allow it to hold different currencies paper notes, including, but not limited to: United States Dollar, Australian Dollar, Canadian dollar, Argentine Peso, Brazilian Reais, Mexican Peso, Colombian Peso and Indian Rupee (except for β‚Ή2000). Most banknotes of currencies like Euro and GBP will not fit, iΒ΄m going to release a version for them soon.

Designed in Fusion 360.

3D printing settings

-Rails are 45Β° so no supports required

-I've printed it with both 0.4 and 0.6 nozzles. Walls and other measures are more adequate for those sizes but you might as well try with a larger nozzle for a faster print. I used 2mm layer height for 0.4 nozzle and 0.3mm for 0.6 nozzle.

-I used 50mm/s infill and 25mm/s wall because i'm pretty new to this printer, but because of the detail level im pretty sure it can be done much faster and come up the same.

-I used 20% infill, 0.6mm top-bottom thickness and 0.8mm wall width for saving more filament. It came up pretty solid and tough enough for its function. You can tune this up to your liking.

-Depending on the nozzle and some variable settings, each part will be below or around 30 grams of filament. With the mentioned speeds, 0.6 nozzle and 0.3mm layer height, each part will take a bit more than 1 hour 40 minutes,
