A compact, durable and easy to use pill organizer for each day of the week. It has the following features:

The design is simple to understand and intuitive to use. No over-engineered mechanism that needs learning and can be broken over time.

It’s a robust design. No flimsy hinges that may break easily, whether used at home or during travel.

Two levels of easy locking mechanism. The first level of locking is provided by the combination of teeth on the lid anchor pin and the slots inside the center hole of the pill box. The lid is not loosely fitted on the top that can be knocked open accidentally. It will take an intentional turn to rotate to the next pill compartment. This first level of locking is good enough for use at home.

The 2nd level of locking is provided by the locking clip, which can be used to ensure the lid is locked down when travel or when the pill box is inside backpack or purge that may come into contact with other items. The locking clip fits in any empty pill compartment and is easy to use: pinch the clip to insert and pinch to pull out. Watch the GIF. The locking clip is securely locked inside the pill compartment and will not fall out by itself (see photo).

If the meds are to be taken twice a day, print two pill boxes in two different colors, such as white or light color for daytime meds and black or dark color for nighttime meds, or use white/light color lid for daytime meds and black/dark color lid for nighttime meds. A print profile is provided specifically for printing the lids having image of sun and mooon for daytime and nighttime pills respectively. Keeping daytime and nighttime meds in two separate pill boxes can help to avoid accidental mixing of the two.

Each compartment holds up to 10 vitamin-sized pills. Let me know if you need a bigger or smaller size.

The display is 4 inches (102 mm) wide and 1.2 inches (31 mm) tall. When using the locking clip it is 1.6 inches ( 41 mm) tall. See photo showing size reference to a wallet.

Note: This pill box uses Sunday as the first day of the week. After taking Saturday’s med, refill for the next week.

To assemble, Insert lid into pill box as shown in photo.

If needed to disassemble, pinch the lid anchor pin at the bottom of the pill box (see photo) while pushing it into the pill box. Then pull the lid and the box apart from the other side. It can be easier to slightly rotate the lid and the box in opposite directions while pulling.

To print: The 3 parts of the model are placed in 3 separate plates in the print profile to make it easier if one wants to print the parts in different colors. I used a few combination of colors (see photos) and they all look good to me. Use your favorite color or color combinations.
