I have developed and produced these clips specifically for wire rack storage bins and small animal cages. The original puck style clips were not sturdy and were not reliable. I am currently using them in my son's Guinea pig enclosure, where I have two separate cages with hinging doors and two storage bin areas underneath.

Please note that wire cubes may vary in thickness on certain edges. In such cases, I have discovered that placing a small piece of tape to build it up can resolve a loose connection.
