The original model by ScanTheWorld.
“When all was finished, it cannot be denied that this work has carried off the palm from all other statues, modern or ancient, Greek or Latin; no other artwork is equal to it in any respect, with such just proportion, beauty and excellence did Michelagnolo finish it”.
- Giorgio Vasari
This is one of the hardest models I have printed. I spent months fine-tuning settings to maximise quality.
Before printing, please:
- Set up your bed for high adhesion. For textured plate, I suggest 65 degree bed and brims
- Dry and calibrate your filament. I suggest Matte PLA.
- Use the speed and support settings in the profile. This model fails easily. Please check that the supports look similar to the pictures. If not, choose tree manual. The elbow is a point of weakness so is well supported.
- Leave the support blocker in place, it shaves 4 hours or so off print time and doesn't make a big difference in quality.
Enjoy!
