I recently bought an espresso machine and went head first into the world of making espresso at home. It is now my second obsession and passion, right after design and CAD. So I merged those two passions and created a fun, simple design for a kit card. 

The espresso machine kit card is simple with only 4 pieces - base, mid-section, top, and portafilter. All of the pieces are meant to press fit into each other. The design is a blocky, toy-like aesthetic. Printing in bright colors would give it a fun and unique look. 

I think this would be a really fun gift to give to any coffee lovers or baristas in your life. The simple design makes it easy for anyone to build the little machine quickly without any trouble. 

I posted the kit card version and a STEP file of the assembled machine in case someone wants to print just the individual pieces or make some edits or modifications. 

***UPDATE 2/29/24***

I currently don't have a printer as the one I had started having some issues. But, I had my local library print this design for me and we were able to print this part without any issues. Some supports are needed for one of the pieces, but they were minimal. I posted some photos of my print and the assembled version. The sprues and support weren't too difficult to remove as I used a pair of scissors and a sharp blade. I didn't do any sanding and was able to assemble the pieces, although, sanding would make the assembly a lot smoother. I wound not recommend sanding too much off the portafilter piece as it may not press fit into the top piece. I think this would be really fun to print in multiple colors or do some finishing and painting. Feel free to reach out with any questions. Enjoy!
