Description

Here is my P1S “Flat” Screen Mount

My P1S screen sits pretty much at eye level when I'm sitting in front of the machine, and I always have a hard time with glare from my ceiling fan light anytime I have it on and need to look at my screen. I didn't find anything that I liked to put the screen where I wanted, so I made my own screen mount that makes the screen point straight forward.

Assembly:

Turn you machine off! Slide the stock screen mount to the right to remove it. Next, unplug the cable from the back of the screen. Remove the two screws from the back of the screen and carefully lift the back away from the screen. Be careful as to not break the tabs that are on the end opposite the screws. If they break, you will probably have issues reinstalling your stock mount if you ever choose to do so.

Next, use a hobby knife to remove the sacrificial bridging in the holes on the new mount. Insert the mount, tabs first, into the back of the screen and it should click into place. Install the screws (not too tight or it will “lock” the buttons) and plug in the cable. Finally, carefully install the screen and mount as normal, but be careful not to force it too much and break the mounting tabs.

Turn you machine back on and enjoy being able to see your screen!

Final Notes:

There are two print profiles; One for PETG with PLA support interfaces, and one for PLA with traditional supports. If you want to print in PLA and use PLA Support material, simply change your filaments on the PETG/PLA profile. If the mounting posts break easily on the PETG version, you may need to print again with increased flush volumes. The default values worked fine for me with Bambu Lab PETG and PLA.

This works very well, if you keep your P1S up high, to be able to see to screen. Thanks
