1/12 Y Wing Fighter

This is a set of 3D printable files for a 1/12 scale fighter ship. The ship is articulated and there are several building options in the files. It is made to fit 1/12 scale figures and astro droids. Please note that this is a 3D file and not a physical product. The files will become available to you as soon as payment is complete.

Also included in your purchase is a link to a discord that has a build group on it for these files and many others. Furthermore, there is a link to the creator of the asto droid files seen in the photos. Please note that these files do not include the figure or droid.

The cockpit door is designed with a hinge if you prefer articualtion to put the figure in the seat. The rear of the cockpit comes with the option to make a space for an additional pilot. The landing gear is attached with magnets and can be replaced with panels if deplayed in a flying orientation. Full lighting on the dash and engines is an option in the files. The ship contains a hidden door for mounting. The ship is designed to take 4 wooden dowls in the middle for strength. A full list of supplies and links to buy them are included with the file set.

Within the files i have created three file groups depending on the type of build you would like to do. The first one is for FDM only printers (this build is the least amount of parts, and the easiest. The second group uses lots of FDM but specifically has the detailed body panels separated for resin printing. The third option offers either resin or FDM printing but simply allows for electronics to be place in the cockpit and engines. Please note that the lighting modification option removes the option to have a second pilot as the battery pack takes its place. The files that aren’t labeled “FDM”, “Resin”, or “Lighting” are to be used with all options. Please note when a file has in the name how many of that particular item to print. For example, you may see a file with “print 4x” in the title.

All parts were tested on a printer. The quality of your print depends on your preferred slicer software, printer, and settings. I can not guarantee the quality of your finished print. This is a very detailed and intricate print so some of the fitting joints may be tight or loose depending on your printer and settings. The print is split up into several parts so sanding and gluing will be needed for fitment and a clean finish. The construction itself may be challenging for some. Some of the parts are complex and orientation on a print bed to get the best print result can be a challenge for some.

If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified material.
