Description

A quick update on my models. Firstly, I found out the hard way that I should make my kit cards at the scale they're being printed at, (Originally, I would make them and then scale them down by 25% in Prusa Slicer). So that's now fixed, which means the tolerances should WAY better. Secondly, the thickness has changed from 1.25mm to 1.60mm, this will make smaller parts more study and allow this to be printed with better tolerances. Thirdly, because of this change, if you print them at anything but .20mm layer height you won't be getting the best results, this is because they are 1.60mm tall, so your layer height has to be divisible by that (1.60 / .20 = 8). Now onto your monthly-ish aviation history.

The F-4 Phantom II is a two-seat twin-engine fighter-bomber/supersonic interceptor. Designed by McDonnell Douglas it entered service in the U.S. Navy in 1961, with the Air Force and Marines adopting it shortly after. While it served in many other conflicts, it was used extensively in the Vietnam War. Apart from its original roles it was also used as an air superiority fighter and reconnaissance. The Phantom also set many aviation record during its career. The F-4E Phantom unlike its predecessors sported an internal 20mm Vulcan, better radar, and more powerful engines, making it the most produced and widely used F-4 variant.

You can find the F-4 Phantom's main contender here: MiG-21 F-13: MiG-21 F-13 Fishbed Kit Card
