Description

UPDATE - 3/4/2024

Nothing has changed for the original model. The update is to add a stacking plate and 12 popular labels. more details below;

Stacking Plate: The stacking plate is designed to allow you to stack one of the Small/Half-Sized/8oz Can dispensers onto the Soup Can Dispenser (Soup Can Dispenser w/ Labels by cbaileyhp - MakerWorld). The profile settings have been changed from the default to add strength.

Labels: I added the print profiles for 12 of the most popular labels for cans of this size. I will be adding “generic” and “Blank” labels soon.

ORIGINAL POST:

This is a follow-up to the other two can dispensers that I designed. My original Vegetable Can Dispenser (Vegetable Can Dispenser w/ Labels by cbaileyhp - MakerWorld) hit 1500 downloads today on MakerWorld and has over 3500 downloads on Thingiverse. I then release my Soup Can Dispenser (Soup Can Dispenser w/ Labels by cbaileyhp - MakerWorld) which has over 425 downloads within the first week. I have been getting dozens of requests for different can sizes or different product dimensions to fit everyone's specific needs. While I cannot accommodate every single request, this size was already planned from the start. As an avid cook, there are some canned goods that I use often and typically buy in bulk. This can dispenser is designed to hold Half-sized/small/8oz cans of a variety of items. For example, I use A LOT of the 4oz mushroom cans and the 8oz tomato sauce cans. Even though their exact sizes are not the same, they will both fit nicely in this dispenser.

THIS IS A COMPLETE MODEL, BUT I WILL BE ADDING “EXTRAS” WITHIN THE NEXT FEW DAYS! I WILL EDIT THIS POST WHEN I ADD THE FOLLOWING EXTRAS…

For example, I will be adding:

  1. Labels for some of the most commonly used items in this size
    1. I have “Mushrooms” and “Tomato Sauce” already, but if there are any labels that are common and you are looking for, message me and I will do my best to accommodate
  2. A stacking plate that will allow you to stack this on top of one of my soup can dispensers
    1. Revised pins to allow you to stack the two together with the pins being flush to the stacking plate
    2. Stacking plate has the pins built-in to stack the small can dispenser to the soup can dispenser

This dispenser is based on the soup can dispenser since the diameter of the cans is the same. That said, the “Right Side” components of the both dispensers are the same. The difference lies in the “Left Side” components. Everything else remains the same.

THE STACKING PLATE:

The stacking plate is designed to allow you to stack one of these “Small Can Dispensers” on one of my “Soup Can Dispensers”. I revised the stacking pins (which I will post with the stacking plate) so that they will be flush when stacked. The plate is 2mm thick and using the proper infill pattern and density, it holds the upper portion fine. Although it holds fine, I am still revising the proper print profile so that filament is not wasted and the print times are as short as possible. Please disregard the top layer pattern, as I am playing around with different patterns for strength and durability. It will not be visible when in use.

THE LABELS:

Like I previously stated, I will be adding labels soon. The labels fit nice and secure. Not too tight to insert comfortably, but tight enough so they will not accidently come loose and fall out.

Printing Information

The side pieces (front & rear) snap together very tightly, so I recommend snapping these pieces together BEFORE attaching the right side to the left side. It will be unlikely that you will be able to take them apart without damaging them after you have snapped them together.

-Clip fasteners clip the side components together and are included in plate 1

-Stacking pins are also included on plate 1 if you are stacking 2 of these together

-If you are going to stack one of these on top of one of the soup can dispensers, please wait and you will get pins of the proper size

-The sides snap together very tightly, so fasteners may not be needed, but included just in case

-Textured plate gives a nice, finished look (optional)

-Can be printed in any color to match your decor

Finishing Information

-Gave it stability using 9 M3x10 screws (pre-threaded but a small round file on the hole opening can help start the screws)

-I used these: Amazon.com: 440 Pcs M3 Small Metric Screws with Nuts, Hex Socket Head Cap and Nut Assortment Kits, Alloy Steel Replacement Machine Fastener Screws and Bolts Nuts (Black) : Industrial & Scientific

-Glue is not used on the clip fasteners, but can be if you wish

-I am making labels now, so if there is any that you would like to see, now if the time to say something!
