  14. M3 nut

  15. M3x10 screw

  16. Spring (optional but recommended)

Prop Pistol Assembly Instructions:

  1. Print all 3 parts: Prop Pistol, Trigger and Cap. Print the Prop Pistol on its side.
  2. Insert M3 nut into slot on the prop pistol (make sure the hole aligns with the hole on the top and is not pushed too far)
  3. Insert M3 screw into prop pistol and begin screwing it in slightly
  4. Push Trigger onto SIM removal tool, add a spring, and insert assembly into the middle hole of the Pistol
  5. Insert prop removal tool into Prop Pistol and align the bottom of the prop removal tool with the point of the sim tool
  6. Remove SIM removal tool and tighten screw so that the prop removal tool doesn't move. If the screw ends up in the hole on the prop removal tool (not recommended but sometimes happens), make sure to not over tighten the screw which can break the Prop Pistol
  7. Bend the prop removal tool if needed so that the hook prongs are parallel with the Prop Pistol
  8. Insert SIM removal tool assembly back into the Prop Pistol and attach the Cap to the bottom of the SIM removal tool
  9. Assembly complete!

If tolerances are too tight increase the scale of each piece by 5%.

The design is meant to be customizable in the event that the prop removal tool or the SIM tool are different lengths. If the middle hole on the prop pistol does not work (for example if the prop tool was significantly longer or shorter) then try the other holes.

If you want a sharper edge on the hooks grind down the prop removal tool.

Prop Pusher:

In addition if you have a second Sim removal tool you can build a prop pusher, simply print a second Trigger and the Prop Pusher and slide both pieces onto the sim tool. Make sure about ~1mm of the sim tool is sticking out of the pusher piece. This tool is used for attaching props with the correct spacing allowing for easy removal with the Prop Pistol.
