Meshtastic Heltec V3 Battery Case

Updated 07/02/2025 - I have added a new version that includes a space for a small switch.

This case is designed to clip onto the back of the official Heltec V3 case by hooking into the IO slots on the back of the case.

I designed it to be low-profile whilst still leaving enough room for a battery of useful capacity. I like how it looks printed in white as it helps it to look like part of the case.

The battery I have used and shown in the photo is a 602248, which is 6.0x22x48mm. It's a tight squeeze so I'd say this is the upper limit of size of battery you can get in here on all dimensions.

Any smaller battery should work fine.

Print upright (default orientation for the model) with support to aid the internal roof. 

I have included a version with small pads (0.2mm thick) around the smaller details as adhesion around this area is near impossible. I would strongly recommend printing the version with pads. They are easy to snip off once complete.
