Embossing press
Parts needed for more:
3 pcs diameter 8mm (L=35mm) = hinge pin
12 pcs M3 = washers for all screws
3 pcs M3 (L=6mm) set screw
5 pcs M3x8mm = screw + standard washer
Production of dies
I have included STEP files that you can edit in your preferred CAD software to add the embossing of your choice. Often you would do this by importing an SVG file of whatever you want to print and extruding it into these parts.
The upper die should have a relief element and the lower one should have an embossed element. It is very important that these functions are well coordinated with each other.
I used a depth of 1mm, but if you want a more pronounced embossing, you can go deeper.
You will need to use an outside offset on the stamped part to allow for the thickness of the paper you are using, if you try to use too small a spacing you will cut the paper rather than emboss and if it is too big your embossing will lack sharpness.
