Description

After making some other “airless” models, a commenter on one of my Tik Toks said he wanted to see an airless disc golf disc….it was so absurd that it needed to exist. After some time, this is what I came up with. It isn't perfect but I think I achieved my end goal of it looking like it belongs in a disc golf bag.

Printing:

  • Model is already oriented in the correct way for printing (brim up laying on it's face)
  • Recommend to clean build plate well before attempting print as there are several small contact areas.
  • Have Arachne on
  • Standard print settings will work (2-3 walls with 15% ish infill will be fine)

Printed with Inland TPU, settings I kept mostly the same as with PLA besides the optimizations I have done for printing with TPU rather than PLA. I can upload a print profile if you're interested in seeing how it looks with TPU.

Yes they are lol. I agree the brim was tough for me to design i leaned more towards the brim of an actual disc for frisbee golf and I should tweak it a bit or slow down overhangs

I wonder what kind of putt & approach you could design to print in tpu....🤔

Lol I actually have some 58D shore hardness TPU coming for some other airless designs and I would like to print this in that TPU as well. I'll have to update the description with how it prints in TPU.

Sorry you had overhang issues, I can look into adjusting the model slightly. I'm trying to avoid support material on the brim while still maintaining the look of a disc but it's a fine line.
