Overview: 

This custom-designed 12V rocker switch mount is engineered specifically for campervan enthusiasts looking to add a sleek, durable, and functional water pump switch to their setup. The design ensures a snug fit for a standard 39x21mm rocker switch, providing an aesthetically pleasing and practical solution.

Design Brief:

While converting my campervan, I needed a sturdy and aesthetically pleasing way to mount my 12V water pump switch. I wanted something that was easy to install but would also hold up to the vibrations and bumps of the road. The design includes a precise 39x21mm opening to accommodate the switch, ensuring a tight fit and seamless operation.

Ideal for campervan conversions, DIY projects, and anyone needing a reliable mount for a 12V Rocker switch. 

Compatibility: Designed to house a standard 39x21mm rocker switch for easy control of your water pump.

Materials Suggested:

For durability and resistance to temperature changes in the van, I recommend printing this design in either ABS, ASA or PETG. These materials are known for their strength and durability, perfect for withstanding the rigors of road travel. PLA is definitely an option, but keep an eye out for tears or sagging, especially when the temperatures in your van go up. 

Printing Details:

• Resolution: Print at 0.2mm layer height for a balance of strength and surface finish. (I used 0.4mm because it's a purely practical print.)
• Infill: A 20% infill should suffice for rigidity without wasting material.
• Supports: No supports are required for this print.
• Rafts: Raft is not necessary unless you experience adhesion issues.

This custom bracket is ideal for campervan owners looking to add a professional touch to their DIY water pump system. Whether you're an experienced DIYer or just starting, this model offers an easy and effective way to enhance your campervan's functionality and aesthetics.

This bracket also works for all other switches which require a 39 x 21 mm opening. 

Installation Tips:

This mount is designed for a straightforward installation. Simply position it over the area where you want to install the switch, mark the holes for the screws, and drill them out. Secure the mount with screws, pop in the rocker switch, and you're all set to control whatever you want with ease and style!

Customization:

If you're looking for a different size or have a different switch, feel free to modify the design. I've kept it simple for easy customization.
