3D model description

This is the space suit helmet from the old TV show Space 1999. The files are large since this is a very smooth design. No facetting.
The parts have holes for pins which should assist you in mating the parts accurately. I have included printable visor, but I would recommend in printing out the visor buck and getting clear PTFE sheet vacuformed over top of it. Dye the visor yellow for better accuracy to the TV show prop. Look on Youtube for info on vacuforming and dyeing PFTE. Customers should have access to a larger printer as this is a full size helmet. The helmet is subdivideds into 2 parts and 4 parts.

Due to the shape of the helmet and the visor assembly, the visor assembly will rub against the helmet around the hinge and is designed to flex outwards a bit to lessen the rubbing. Glue a piece of metal tubing on either side of the visor assembly flush to the side of the visor assembly. The metal tubing will go into each side of the helmet and act like a hinge.

A graphics set is included. Select the character name and print it on clear decal film or an adhesive transparency. I have omitted the oxygen connector but you can glue on a suitable threaded connector you find at an auto-parts store.

This helmet was meant for display purposes only.
